"KMZ" has mastered casting on gasified models

In traditional foundries, the main source of toxic substances released into the atmosphere are binders and synthetic resins used in the manufacture of cores and molds. When pouring, harmful substances are released into the air of the production room, and its cleaning seems to be a rather complicated undertaking.

Casting on gasified models refers to low-waste production. Expanded polystyrene is used as the material for the models. During the burning process, the material completely decomposes into gaseous components.

The casting molds are connected to a vacuum system, so all harmful gases immediately enter the cleaning system, practically without getting into the premises. The molding sand is carefully screened and returned to the moulding. This removes harmful gases and dust. Water-based non-stick coatings practically do not contaminate the sand and are easily separated during sieving and in the cooling system.

To remove dust in production, aspiration plants and cyclones with a high degree of purification are used.
