Booms of constant buoyancy BPP are designed for containment of emergency oil spills in reservoirs, backwaters, rivers, port waters, as well as for the operational fencing of ships when receiving fuel, during cargo operations of oil tankers, they have high breaking strength and provide a towing speed of up to 3 knots. The design provides maximum resistance to wave and wind loads. BPP booms do not absorb water and oil products.

The North Sea offers a wide range of booms. Boom barriers are completed, at the request of customers, with two types of lock connections: Standard overlap lock connection (connected with four bolts). Quick disconnect international connection - ASTM locks. BPP booms are used at ambient air temperature from -30 to +65 °С. The speed of towing on the water surface should not exceed 3 knots.

After use, BPP booms are subject to treatment in order to remove oil and oil products from their surface using hot water and chemical detergents.
